Brenton Blue Tour 4 Full Day CAPE TOWN City Cultural Tour. On this tour you will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Cape’s Rainbow People as they get on with their daily lives. Visit the Malay quarter, historically important as the heart of the Cape’s Muslim community originally brought to the Cape as slaves. To see here is a pocket of unique untouched Georgian architecture, adapted to the character of its occupants by the colourful paintwork. Visit the District Six museum and hear about the history of apartheid and the effects of the forced removals. Visit the townships of Langa and Kayelitsha. Gain insight into the cultures, communities, and individuals while also witnessing the spirit and reconstruction, which manifests itself in township life. Experience a little of the struggles, hopes and achievements. The tour includes visiting community upliftment projects, a school, a community “peer” clinic, a tavern, a Sangoma (medicine woman), as well as meeting various entrepeneurs. You will leave with a better understanding of South Africa’s political history and the social challenges she faces. It is a necessary cultural experience that is welcomed by the community.
